Interview with former apprentice ambassador Chloe Lee

Tell me about yourself.

”My name is Chloe Lee, and I work for Northern Training Academy, my role has gone from Travel Apprentice Ambassador to Business Support Co-ordinator. I started working here in 2020 when we were in the middle of a pandemic. I have loved working with ITT as they have supported me with my career, we managed to go to the ITT conference which allowed me to meet a lot of new people who are a big part of ITT.”

Walk me through your job.

”When I started as Travel Apprentice Ambassador my role was to shine light on apprenticeships, especially within travel. This was to encourage travel business to recruit apprentices. I also started a series of ‘Spotlight On’ interviews with a range of industry professionals to highlight opportunities across the sector. As Business Support Co-Ordinator, I now work closely along side managers and provide administrative tasks to meet business needs.”

How has your experience prepared you for this role?

”I hadn’t had much experience within the travel sector. Travel has been a passion of mine as I can say I love learning/visiting new places. Whereas I have had previous experience with admin roles which prepared me for my current job role.”

What is your greatest strength?

”My greatest strength would be getting my new job role as It comes with a lot of responsibilities.”

What are your Goals for the Future?

”My goals for the future would be to continue to progress in my job role and have new experiences, this includes completing my apprenticeship. Furthermore, I would like to travel to new places with family and friends.”
