Best spots in the UK to enjoy Halloween

Halloween is rapidly coming. Pumpkins are being sculpted, scary stories are being practised, and masks are being prepared. The United Kingdom is one of the greatest places in Europe to celebrate Halloween.

The UK has several ghostly hotels; therefore, Halloween in the UK would be incomplete without a stay at one of them:

  • The Mermaid Inn, Rye, East Sussex – One of the oldest inns in England, established 400 years ago. It’s no wonder that the Inn in is one of the most haunted sites in Britain. Exploring the building is like going back in time; you could even run across some of the structure’s past occupants as ghosts!

There are haunted pubs all around the country, and they are a favourite Halloween destination in the UK:

  • The Ten Bells, London – The Ten Bells’ history is inextricably linked to that of Jack the Ripper. His last victim was observed leaving the pub just before he was mangled by the legendary murderer. There are also some terrible stories about the murders.

Visit scary castles in the UK during Halloween:

  • Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh – is said to be one of the most haunted places in Scotland, and you can’t avoid its ominous presence no matter where you go in the city. And Edinburgh has been dubbed the “most haunted city in Europe.” Visitors and employees continue to claim witnessing hauntings, feeling unwelcome presences, seeing dark figures, feeling touched or pushed, and experiencing extreme temperature swings that give them goose bumps all over their bodies.
