National Arizona Day honours the state that formed a continuous entity with the other 48 states. Arizona is home to North America’s oldest continually inhabited town. 

One of the nicest things about the Western side of the United States is that it has some of the world’s most untouched and well-preserved natural areas. The Grand Canyon, the desert, and the scorching weather are all characteristics we immediately connect with Arizona. 

• The most apparent response to the question “what is Arizona known for?” is the Grand Canyon. It’s so clear that it’s what gave the state its nickname. With 6 million tourists every year, it is the state’s most famous site and one of the world’s most recognised natural marvels. 
• The state of Arizona is well-known for having typical summer temperatures in the triple digits. 
• Sedona – a tiny desert community in central Arizona near Flagstaff. It is famous for its stunning natural beauty, which includes red-rock buttes, deep valleys, and pine tree woods. 
• Arizona is well-known for its spectacular rock formations. One of the more popular sites is Antelope Canyon. 
• Saguaro Cactus – a cactus found only in the Sonoran Desert region of the United States’ southwest. The cactus may grow to be more than 50 feet tall. Arizona’s official state flower is the saguaro cactus.
