The world’s creepiest hotels

There’s something exceptionally frightening about ghostly hotels, out of all the gloomy locations across the world—and there are plenty. There’s no better alternative to get into the Halloween mood than vacationing at one of the world’s most feared hotels, but you should consider sleeping with one eye open.

  • Hotel Chelsea, New York – New York is the ideal paranormal hotspot, thanks to its spectacular gothic-Victorian architecture and vivid past. The ghosts of great singers and artists, both living and dead, have long been drawn to the historic hotel. It is reported that spirits haunt the historic hotel. In the rooms where the biggest catastrophes occurred, inexplicable shivers and immediate contact were reported.
  • Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, Los Angeles – for years, the hotel has served as the site of several ghost stories, most of them involve the souls of Hollywood stars. There have been allegations that Marilyn Monroe’s soul may be found in a mirror in one of the rooms. If you’re not an admirer of past cinema icons, the high-drama foyer and vistas of the Hollywood sign will give you shivers.
  • Ruthin Castle Hotel & Spa, Wales – a hotel in North Wales has been declared one of the most haunted in the country, and multiple spirits are claimed to inhabit it. If you don’t have a chance to see the Lady’s ghost, you may still visit the castle’s genuinely terrifying cellars, whipping pit, and drowning pond. Grey lady is claimed to haunt the castle ruins, old structures, and roads in the area.
