Wildlife in Japan

Japan is recognised for its great culture and connection with nature. The area is both lovely and varied. In Japan, you may see a variety of animal species that are not seen anyplace else in the globe.

Japan’s wildlife consists of its flora, animals, and natural environments.

What kinds of animals can I observe in Japan?

  • Japanese macaque (Snow Monkey) – where in Japan may one find snow monkeys?
  • Other than humans, snow monkeys are the only mammals that can withstand frigid temperatures. These magnificent animals may be seen in the Jigokudani monkey park.
  • Giant Spider Crab – this sea monster is enormous and a genuinely spectacular sight. With a leg span of 3.5 metres, it is the world’s largest arthropod.
  • Steller’s sea eagle – when is the best time of year to see sea eagles in Japan?
  • If you visit Japan between January and February, you could be lucky enough to see sea eagles.

Clearly there are many reasons to go an explore the beautiful wildlife of Japan!
